C-29 Additive Change Order #1 for Lakeside Junior High School Buildings 1, 2, & 3 Re-Roof
Issue/Rationale
Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board for approval. The additive changes are required for additional structural support for new curbs. Asbuilt information was minimal. When the existing roofing and roof top units were removed, it was discovered that additional support would be needed to properly distribute the loads of the new curbs and roof top units. Contractor: Barber & Associates; Architect: McCullar & Boatright Architects, P.A.
Recommended Action
Approve the Change Order
Financial Impact
If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $35,800.00. The Substantial Completion date is August 14, 2009. Architect fees will increase by $2,148.00 as a result of this change order.
